Antica awarded Bronze in 2022 NSW Tourism Awards

Antica Australis has been awarded Bronze in the Tourism Restaurants category of the 2022 NSW Tourism Awards.

This was in recognition of our contribution to the local community and increased overnight visitation to our village.

In the year July 2021 - June 2022, an astounding 90% of our Antica guests stayed overnight or for the entire weekend in the surrounding region, and around 60% of those were STAYING IN OUR GORGEOUS HISTORIC VILLAGE! That's amazing!!

Thank you all so much for your support over the past 2.5 years, it really has been an incredible experience for both Paolo & I to open our little regional Italian locanda in the middle of nowhere and have people travelling from all over New South Wales and the country to join us.

Last year was the first time we welcomed guests from Victoria, Tasmania and western Australia (Queenslanders had discovered us the year before that!) and the truly astonishing realisation for us in the past 12 months is that over 95% of our guests are joining us because friends have recommended the Antica experience to them. WE LOVE THIS.

As a very conservative estimate made as part of our award submission, you have all helped generate at least an extra $1 million into our local economy through accommodation, meals, coffees, drinks at the pub, wine sales and to all of our Antica produce suppliers and artisans.

This is so amazing and very much part of Paolo's original sustainability vision for Antica by contributing to the economic revival of a village.

A very big THANK YOU to each and every one of you who has joined us at Antica from both of our hearts xxxx

Paolo & Kelly
